Terveisiä Suomesta!

Javiera Castillo, Chi­le:

“My school experience in Finland has been great! This system is very different from what I’m used to in Chi­le. Everything is clean, everyone punctual and kinda silent. Here I have more authonomy and freedom, not wearing uniform is fantastic! With such a huge cultural difference it has been sometimes difficult to adapt, but I have had the opportunity to meet really nice people and the teachers are always willing to help. The courses are also really interesting.

¡Ay Caramba! en verdad todo es diferente, si, una realidad totalmente nueva. En especial las personas y su actitud. La escuela ha sido una experiencia extremadamente interesante. He aprendido un montón, pero aún ya habiendo estado casi un año aquí hay cosas que todavía me sorprenden jajaja. Tengo muy lindos recuerdos de la escuela, agradezco todas las sonrisas y además he tenido la suerte de conocer a varios chiquitos locos.

Ajatelen vieläkän en ymarrä kaik­kea, suo­ma­lais­ta kult­tuu­ris­ta, eri­tyi­ses­ti kou­lus­ta. Jos­kus olen vä­hän häm­men­ty­nyt, kun saa­vuin mo­net asi­at tu­li­vat shok­ki­na mi­nul­le. Olla vaih­to-op­pi­laa­na kun kult­tuu­ri­erot ovat niin suu­ria on jos­kus vai­ke­aa, mut­ta se on vaih­to­vuo­den idea, sit­ten se on haus­kem­pi ja jän­nit­tä­väm­pi niin. Milestäni se on ol­lut niin us­ko­ma­ton ko­ke­mus. Mi­nus­ta se on mah­ta­vaa että olen tääl­lä lu­ki­os­sa ja voin tu­tus­tua suomalasiin opilaisiin, kii­tos kai­kis­ta ys­tä­väl­li­sis­tä hy­myis­tä! Osaan jo pu­hua suo­mea ihan hy­vin, sit­ten on hel­pom­paa tu­tus­tua ih­mi­siin ja oi­ke­as­ti ymärrtää hei­tä – On jo­ten­kin su­rul­lis­ta että läh­den pian.”

Tobias Pannatier, Sveit­si:

“This exchange year was really a great time! My view on many things has changed, I’ve met plenty of new people all as interesting as the others and I’ve also learned a lot about myself. One of the biggest difference was the quality of the finnish school system who really support the students.

Si l’on me demandait si je voulais refaire une année d’échange, je dirais oui sans hésitation. Etre largué au milieux de nulle part sans connaître personne est la chose la plus stressante que j’ai jamais du faire mais aussi la plus enrichissante.

Tä­män vuo­den aikan, mi­nul­la oli mahdolisus löytä uusi kult­tuu­ri ja uusi kie­li. Mi­nul­la oli myös mahdolisus löytä mitä minä ha­lu­an opia. Mi­nun suo­men kie­li ei ole oi­kein hy­vää mut­ta minä olen var­ma että sii­tä tu­lee pa­rem­pi aika kans­sa. Kii­tos kai­kil­le!”

“Wir kamen nach Finnland und das Einzige, was wir ueber dieses Land wussten war Sau­na, kalter und dunkler Winter und dass die Sprache uns den letzten Nerv rauben wuerde – Then we came here and all of that (kind of) came true. We started to love Sau­na, we survived the winter and well, the language…

We knew almost nothing about the Finnish school when we came here, so the first school day was very exciting. We had many great and interesting experiences in our freetime and also in the school, like the first-graders-day (Simpsons-Day) , the Van­hat-Dance or the schoolpartys. It was not always easy to follow in the lessons but with help of teachers and nice classmates it worked out. Finnish school is so much better than the German school and it will be hard to find back into the strict and boring German school days.

We are very happy that we could spend a year at Fors­san yh­teis­ly­seo! Kii­tos mah­ta­vas­ta ajas­ta, me nau­tim­me sii­tä ja olem­me on­nel­li­sia, että saim­me olla tääl­lä. Ehkä me näämme vie­lä uu­del­leen! ”
